How we make a block
Care is the difference.
Most grow blocks fail for simple reasons: rushed cleaning, weak starter, a bag that was not ready, or a box that sat too long in heat. We built Harmonix around those problems.
Organic hardwood, on purpose. These mushrooms grow on wood. We grow them on cleaned organic hardwood — not leftover mix, not grain sold as a mushroom.
One kind per bag. No mixes. The name on the page is the mushroom in the bag.
Ready before it ships. We do not send a half-white block and ask you to wait. The mushroom has to fill the bag before it leaves Carthage. That takes longer for us. It is why you can often see baby mushrooms in days, not weeks of hoping.
Checked, then packed living. Each bag is looked over. Clean, full, and ready — or it does not go in a box.
Shipped like something alive. Monday through Wednesday, so a block is not sitting in a warehouse over the weekend. Start within 7–10 days of arrival. Shipping is paid at checkout. Orders of $150 or more ship free.
Freeze-dried here too. The same mushrooms can be picked here and freeze-dried in Carthage. Jars for people who want the mushroom, not the spraying. Still one kind. Still our farm. Those jars do not need the Monday–Wednesday live window.
The brand is Harmonix. The website is harmonixhome.com because that name was available — and because the harvest happens in your kitchen. The work is the same either way: make a block so carefully that a first-time grower can trust it.
